i listened to it again and from the english words, what i understood about the song was that he talked about the moon being white but the background is the night so the sky is dark. as if it's an analogy for the following lyrics. then he talks about the pretty girl with white skin but her heart is dark (like the moon and the night sky background). then their eyes meet and his future is dark (like the very moment he fell in love with her is the exact moment that caused his future misery and heartache). then he talks about glasses of whiskey and how "soup boys" (I'm guessing an expression for poorer people) don't have any choices in life.it's a common indian expression, a better translation would be 'fair'
it does mean what you think it does butit doesn't have those political connotations if you know what I mean
I don't speak the language he's mixing with english in the vid.. I think maybe the comments might have some explanation of what he's saying
