nah he's taking it to far..Rastafarisim existed long before the REGGAE MUSICAL STYLE existed.....

i don't think this sits well with alot of rasta elders who know that thier religion is being exploited and basically made a mockery of by entertainers like Snoop Dogg...

thier is so much more to rastafaraisim other than not shaving and smoking your lungs out.....

not one time did i hear snoop mention his admiration or the study he took on the "diety" of rasta culture which is H.I.M (haile selassie).....

all we hear is some slackness speech about him being the "reincarnation of BOB MARLEY" smh :leostare:

or even more importantly what sect he belongs to, Rasta like any other religion has many sects..such as 12 tribes, Nyambinghi or the militant Bobo Dreads of which the artist SIZZLA who dissed Snoop in that clip is a member of.....

i'm offended myself even though i am NOT a rasta but as a proud west indian descendant with a number of devout rastas in my family i find this disturbing for him to exploit a RELIGION for marketing purposes.......

You know he mentioned rastafari and used the whole deal in 93 right? People are acting like this is the first time Snoop tried to do the reggae thing. People can get all up in arms about him wanting to switch up his style musically but that is exactly what he is doing.

As far as the religious aspect, its just as much a way of life, one that he seems to subscribe to, I see no problem with it personally. Then again I don't give a fukk about any religion.


As for Bob Marley reincarnated, you taking Snoop literally now?
