Honestly I don't know much about fraternities either. People say that one of the many benefits of joining a fraternity are the parties. But what's so special about a fraternity party that you couldn't otherwise experience in a regular college party?

Eww

Also has anyone tried making their own social club in college without the homo-erotic initiations? When I go back to school I plan on making a sort of 'travel club' where members of the club fly to other countries (i.e.: Brazil, Dominican Republic, etc.) during school vacations.

B/c I have friends who are frat brothers
Theyre doing no better than me :ld:
They got their jobs as I did
It does look good on resumes though when an employer or someone recognizes the frat
Have you ever considered that your friends are just weak and that birds of a feather flock together, or that their chapter is just very small or not well connected, and that you can't extrapolate the data from your very very very very very very very small social group on to millions of people??

You are in a e-rep group for god's sake, talking about groups that actually mean something and have a purpose.. :heh: This is what I'm talking about. You just got a bunch of lames poppin' crazy stuff. :pachaha:

:skip:

so you extrapolated the small sample size of frat bruhs you know...to represent everybody who was ever in a frat? :takedat:

my point is: just like in any group you get out of it what you put in. i dont know your friends...but who's to say what kind of brothers they are...just becuz we're frat bruhs doesnt mean i have to like you or go out of my way to help you...theres a lot of cats who get in for the broads and colors...:mjpls:

Ehhh, I don't think the 2 are even comparable. A lot of masons wish they were NPHC tho.

I think they are to a certain extent. Most Masons I know are also greek. The ones who were masons before Greek say they were more prepared. :shaq:

Oh trust, I know a lot of Masons are Greek. I don't want to touch on rituals or things like that over the internet though. I find myself seeing a lot of Masons copying frat traditions/customs/culture (not speaking on rituals)
.
I was more so speaking to the climate/purpose of the 2 factions though.
