Follow up to my post - My son got pulled on stage last night and performed a song with Logic.

After the show, we went backstage and met him and got loaded with all the merch they sold last night in SF.

We got his team contact info and will stay connected when he comes out here next time.

Point being - he took the time and recognized a true fan and cares enough to not only do that but also wants to stay in touch. Great night!
what that got to do with this cac being corny. And I’m sure you ain’t the only person in there with a son, why didn’t he do that for everybody? You think joe never did nothing personal with a fan lol

Logic's main selling point is that he looks like a white nerd from suburbia. I live in Maryland and Montgomery County is the whitest suburban area in the whole state. Montgomery County doesn't even have a real concentration of regular black people, all the "black people" in Montgomery County are rich educated Africans who own businesses or have high paying white collar jobs.

Logic also sells well to white fans because he sadly proves how marketable the tragic mulatto stereotype still is in 2019. Tragic mulattos were often white passing mixed race people who were perpetually depressed and borderline suicidal because they weren't white or black enough. And white folks in the 1800's and early 1900's ate up all stories in literature and pop culture featuring white passing mulattos because they were more relatable because they put a white face on black struggle. This is the reason why Logic is allowed to be completely unoriginal musically.

Crackers talk about "lyrics" but how come white rappers are only praised for "lyricism" and "technical ability"? :jbhmm: I have never heard an Eminem Stan praise Kool G Rap or Big Pun as "lyrical" even though they pioneered multi syllabic fast rapping. Maybe because G Rap and Pun often rap about busting guns, selling dope and getting p*ssy which is nails on a chalkboard to privileged white people who are over their teenage wigga phase. :skip:Is it because you crackers think that white people are just naturally smarter and better at an artform birthed specifically from an experience living in visibly black skin in Amerikkka? :upsetfavre:Logic is wack. Under Pressure was a blatant ripoff of Good Kid MAAD City. There is nothing hood about Gaithersburg or Montgomery County, Maryland. That's why Logic eventually embraced his nerd roots because he knew the predominantly black actually from the hood Hip Hop crowd he was trying to court wasn't buying that shyt.

Any black person who like that kumbya Everybody shyt is the corniest token black person. Anybody who defends Logic's "blackness" is probably whiter than Maine in late November. :what:

Then when they played Logic rapping it....:russ:
It's all jokes. People are too sensitive.

This really goes over a ton of peoples head... It's kinda wild.

It's jokes
It's some truth

Yeah no.

One rapper is a biracial, damn near White dude from Suburban Maryland who raps for other middle class cacs while the other rapper is a Black dude from inner city New Jersey who came up in the NYC battle scene in the late 90s/early 00s and actually had to spit to make it.

But the Coli is filled with posters more like the 1st rapper I described so of course they going hard for Logic in here.

These Coli posters are suburban, middle class folks too so they relate to a lot of Logic's content. There's nothing wrong with that but they don't understand that's why they fukk with his music more than a nikka from the hood like Budden. And they expose they don't have an ear for Hip Hop when they think they make the same type of music.

Logic is pretty bad.

But to be honest Joe is 39 and has lived through decades where top tier rappers were releasing the best hip hop ever,so his ear is going to be different.

You are likely both illiterate and dumb because I responded to the OP thread about him being a terrible rapper. Fuk outta here you think 14 pages of comments revolve around what you have to say? :camby:

Sure it is, otherwise that would be a crutch to get in.

I don't like Logic, but to say he isn't skilled... :stopitslime:

Debatable.
multi syllable rapping and lyricism in general is not hard to do, espescially in this easy to information world we live in, where anyone can just lookup what word rhymes with what. There are entire apps meant to help with rhyming.
alot of people can do it.

infact flow, voice, and cadence. Those type of rap skills are more impressive to get grasp on let alone a unique and good one.

:sas2:It's actually easier to fool people into thinking you're saying by hiding behind multi syllable rhymes than it is for you to move people with one syllable rhymes. :sas2:its also a "hiding in plain sight" type of southern hip hop secret but that's another topic for another day
This is something that I recently been saying in conversations I have with friends, family, social media(FB groups) etc.

some people legit think cause a nikka throws in some multis, he saying something signifcant.

Logic is the quintessential white rapper who makes mayo slathered white rap music for corny suburban white people and their whitewashed flunkies. :ufdup:Logic is technically mixed. But race is a social construct based entirely on your appearance. Logic doesn't know what it's like to be black in America because literally no one sees him as black because appears to be 100% cracker.

Logic lacks so much self awareness that he doesn't realizing being unwillingly white passing that he might not fully comprehend the black experience in America. Logic doesn't know what it's like to be stereotyped as a threat, to be constantly feared as an unpredictable criminal or being less intelligent, more angry, more lazy, less clean, less human just because he appears to be black. So Logic buys into this white idea that blackness is all about poverty, violence, crime and drugs and that's why he highlights his family dysfunction. :feedme:And... white people eat that shyt up because they think blackness is all about poverty and ignorance and they wholeheartedly believe in the one drop rule even though the real amount of black blood Logic has is miniscule. :hhh:

Whats interesting is that Wale is from Gaithersburg too, but Wale is a much blacker artist than Logic. It's because Wale was born and raised in DC and has a deep connection to real DC culture and came up in the Go Go scene. Even though Wale is the child of Nigerian immigrants, he just looks like a regular nikka. Which allowed him to camouflage back home in DC. This is why haters really can't say Wale not from DC. His biggest hits have been powered by Go Go. But if Wale was a white passing half breed, it would have been a lot harder for him to make it in the very black world of DC Go Go.:stopitslime: And his audience would be completely different as well. Wale has the biggest hit in urban radio right now. Wale has always made smooth R&B fused music that black folks love. Black girls who are college age make up a big portion of Wale's audience. The only black people that really fukk with Logic are the suburban token blacks.:russ:
