league has overvalued average QBs essentially giving them nba type max deals which hurt their ability to have a more complete team. No one wants to pay and watch trash

And with the Pats, Jets, Giants being ass in huge markets of course it’s gonna suck. Chargers are solid but not exciting right now. That’s four off top right there
They instituted the cap. They keep the cap. They are more interested in cost certainty than actually competing. And they are the ones that keep cashing these dudes out like you said, in part because they know fans will focus on that rather than poor management.

Its 2024 and we still using ratings? :mjlol: Some legit points in here about quality of play. Cant discount injuries either. Also seems like slow starts are becoming more of a thing. A longer season and expanded playoffs likely have something to do with that. All that said, nikkas be streaming. Gonna be interesting to see how these media entities and sponsors pivot as the streaming generation grows up and expands.

less practices, cutting preseason, not hitting in practice. Of course that shyt hurts the product.

It's the 3 point shooting, they've watered down the game :skip:
That's part of it, but For the NBA the ratings are about the star appeal. Lebron is nearing the end of his career and is no longer the draw he once was. They need a new face, but most of the best players are foreign right now, you need an American star that has an aesthetically pleasing game as well. Shooting threes is not selling posters. That's why the NBA is trying to get behind Anthony Edwards but he just isn't quite good enough to dominate in a way that is needed to captivate fans.

Black NFL stans that shyt on the NBA viewership is funny considering :mjpls:. They might want to look into half of the regular locals can no longer watch games behind paywalls or games being less affordable and more :mjpls: every year. Sooner or later brehs are going to stop tuning in when you see a star players with MAGA hats and endorsements.

Jets and Giants are definition of basura:scust:

Pats? :mjlol:

Surprised Chargers declined that much, with Harbaugh in this year:ehh:

Houston/Detroit have squads (moreau Detroit) :manny:
Chargers have never had a strong fanbase. Nobody cares about them nikkas.

Too much of a dichotomy between the few good teams and bad teams, which ruins prime time on top of most of Sundays. Too many injuries
There's like 5 good teams in the NFL. They gotta do something about that.
