Maybe the like Tyler idk

This isn't as crazy as when they were all pretending Lamar wasn't a 1st rounder and he fell, but if the Browns do this at the top of the 2nd, it's 100% sending a message as a league. There's no universe where he's a better QB than Shedeur. The Giants could pretend with Dart. The Steelers could pretend with Aaron Rodgers. Milroe is an argument depending on the team you're building, but Tyler? Nah.

That said, I don't think it's completely terrible if he's a 2nd or even a 3rd rounder depending on where he lands aka somewhere like the Rams with McVay backing up Stafford for a bit. Even if he's a late rounder the team who picks him is going to be putting pressure on whomever is ahead of him if he shows up and makes throws. At worse, he is a very accurate QB who performs well under pressure.

After seeing what the Jaguars and Falcons gave up to move up and back into the first round, I feel like the Patriots winning their final game "cost" them an additional two first round picks that they probably would have gotten for trading the first overall pick. Not mad that they won the game as that's what a coach and players are supposed to do, but it would have been nice for them to have even more draft capital.
