Alot of players live in LA.....but he had a visit with the Chargers today.
The success of the Texans will ensure potential busts like Maye will always get selected early. Teams more than willing to risk if all for a shot.Feels damn good not having to worry about grabbing a QB

Yeah I'm all for trading down unless like you said there is just one prospect that you are sold so high on that you don't want to miss out on. With the draft being a crap shoot I want as many chances at it as possible. Especially if you already have a good team with multiple stars and you're just looking to fill in the gaps on the roster.Man, you want to talk heists.
Bucs traded down from #7 to get #12 and two 2nd rounders from the Eagles.
They used #12 to draft Warren Sapp.
They traded the two 2nd rounders for #28.
They used #28 to draaft Derrick Brooks.
Eagles drafted Mike Mamula who absolutely lit up the combine and scored 49/50 on the Wonderlic.
When people say you shouldn't trade down, that only applies when you think the guy at your spot is so significantly better than everybody else, not simply a "Can't miss" but somebody so incredible that it warrants multiple first rounders. It's got to be someone so dominant that it won't matter if they go up against a team full of top 10-30 players from that draft, they can carry.
Yup.Yeah I'm all for trading down unless like you said there is just one prospect that you are sold so high on that you don't want to miss out on. I pray ya'll draft Maye. That'll tell you what I think of him as a prospect.Someone please convince me that Drake Maye is worth taking at #3 overall..
I don't watch as much college football as many here, but every time I saw him play, he left me wondering what people see in him.
Yup.
I'll be 100% honest, outside of Caleb Williams, I don't think there's a single player this draft on that tier you want to trade up to get. You don't get MHJ? That's fine you can get many other weapons where you're drafting or a cluster of WR's because this draft is insanely deep. I think MHJ works great for Arizona and unless they get multiple drafts thrown at them, they'd be best to stay put. This is one of the best drafts to trade down out the top 10 if you got a chance to finesse multiple first round talent instead of a fake generational talent.
I think some teams are going to make the mistake of trading up in a deep draft of talent that they don't need to. Vikings I keep hearing want to trade up for one of the other QB's because it's a position of need, but I think they should stay the course because none of these QB's outside of Caleb look anything close to a top 5 QB. You got two picks in a loaded draft, use them wisely.
If I'm the Chargers and the Vikings want that so bad I'd trade #5 for #11 and #23.
#11 take Bowers.
Use #23 and a 2nd rounder to move up to #15.
#15 take Fautanu.
Yeah, first thing I'm looking for is a trade down - what team is going to be a sucker?Giving up three firsts for Drake Maye or JJ is insanity and means they learned nothing from Bryce Young. The situations aren't the same but the point is if the QB selected isn't elite it's not worth the haul you gave up. They can't even be a mid tier QB. They have to exceed the value of the players you passed on by losing those picks.
The risk is too great so just stay put and take who's there. The gap between JJ, Maye, Penix, or Nix is not that great. No one knows how these guys will pan out so just take one and make it work.
Yeah, first thing I'm looking for is a trade down - what team is going to be a sucker?
If not, I'll just draft who I have on my board straight up.
There are some players who are worth it obviously knowing what we know now like a Mahomes. That's worth a trade up.
99% of these other players don't move the needle like that, honestly. If you're going to give me a whole bunch of picks for non-Mahomes level talents, let's go. Position of need is another thing, but chances are unless there's not another equivalent player in sight that'll highly impact that vital position on your roster, the trade isn't worth it either.
Chiefs only gave up a 1st and 3rd (not counting them swapping firsts). That's fine. Giving up 3 firsts is not.
Gotta hurt knowing the QB who keeps killing you is the one drafted by the team you allowed to move up
