I started hating live-action video games cause they will never beat video game cause what makes video games fun is that players are able to control the character and engross themselves in the world that they are playing. It makes them feel as if they are the character that they are playing.

Watching a movie does not enable that. When watching a movie, we have no control on what happens on screen, which doesnt give us the opportunity to feel that extra layer of immersion that we get from playing video games.

This is one way why video game movies fail, because it is way better to be in the drivers seat rather than being a passenger

Not everyone can or wants to play video games, especially 30+ hour video games with complex control schemes. These movies are made for the non gamers first, which far outnumber the people actually playing them to completion.

This is the main reason why Hideo Kojimas games wouldn't work as movies without being a complete reimagining.

There's so much shyt like the Psycho Mantis fight in MGS1 that just can't be replicated in a movie without looking goofy. Even shyt like taking out a tank with just grenades would look so ridiculous in live action.

A Death Stranding movie only really works if you remove all the gamey elements of the delivery and traversal aspect of these games, and stick to strictly the world and lore.
