That n1gga wasnt actin.

He wasn't acting, no ... but anybody else during that time period would have toned it down or not done it at all to save their careers, and even their lives, depending on which part of the country they lived in.

Dog, he really thought that those lyrics woulda remotely flown back then? Even Uncle Luke Skyywalker would be like :wtf:

Those lyrics were part of the live shows he did, of course it was never going fully public like that. Not too far from rappers fully re-doing parts of songs for clean versions to be used on radio and in music videos.

The song that he sang was a piece of music that he "had polished in clubs across the South."[12] Little Richard sang:[13]

A-wop-bop-a-loo-mop a-good-Goddam!
Tutti Frutti, good booty
After this lively performance, Blackwell knew the song was going to be a hit, but recognized that the lyrics, with their "minstrel modes and sexual humor", needed to be revised for lyrical purity.[12]

Blackwell contacted local songwriter Dorothy LaBostrie to revise the lyrics, with Little Richard still playing in his characteristic style. According to Blackwell, LaBostrie "didn't understand melody" but she was definitely a "prolific writer".[14]
