Shortly after her famed defiance of segregation sparked the Montgomery, Alabama, bus boycott, Parks moved to Detroit and became an important presence in the city for years afterward.
But in 1994, Parks was robbed and assaulted in her home at the age of 81.
DETROIT —
A man accused of breaking into civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks’ house did not know she lived there, but recognized her once inside, police said Friday.
“He said: ‘Aren’t you Rosa Parks?’ She said, ‘Yeah,’ and he went ahead and robbed her anyway,” Detroit Police Investigator Daniel Budz said.

Sometime you want a fast, cheap snack. With the little kids in my family it’s a fast pizza I can give them with salad and fruit. And it’s nothing fancy so I don’t have to worry about the sauce being too herbal or a cheese mix they won’t like (if a kid in my family senses Parmesan is on something he won’t eat it, even if you price there’s no Parmesan). Speed and affordability win out over quality in this country, that’s why our fast food restaurants out earn high end eateries.for real.
This whole fukken thread is offensive. The poverty and the in this thread. Good lord.
