Some people have it easy online, some people have it harder.

But either way, online dating IMO is completely un-natural if you think about it.

Look at this:

-You go out to the mall or a bar/gym/class etc you meet a girl. It's just you and her talking one on one, you have her attention, if you're good enough you can get her number or at least plant a seed for her anticipated interest the next time you see her. But the key is one on one.

-Meanwhile, online, like say POF. You could message her the same thing you'd say in real life/offline, but she's possibly fielding messages from 10 other dudes at the same time. :damn: So she answers you, then you respond, she answers another 8-9 guys messages....then back to you. See how un-natural that is? You may be hittin her with the same stuff that works 100% of the time in real life given your body language, tone, humor...but online it may not work. 5 of those other dudes messaging her may not be sh*t but if they say the right thing, they're in. She stops messaging you as hard as she was and now not at all. And you wonder why. That's why.

-Also, stuff like "Hey whatsup" doesnt work online(although women online will do it to you all the time, but turn around and tell you not to:stopitslime:) but it can work easily in real life as a conversation starter. Just another un-natural/time wasting element of online dating.

I think this is why most dudes just go straight for the "U tryna get the pipe" type of lines. :bryan:

I think it's forced and and in some cases false compatibility. "We belong together because we answered 72 out of 100 questions with the same answer"

I think online dating is like regular dating.

As long as you get out the house and meet face to face, it's OK for introductory purposes I guess. That said, I don't fukk with it.

Exactly. Talk for a few hours, set up a time to meet and that's it.

Nah it's not the same. Just my opinion, full disclosure it's not very well informed cuz i have never dated online. I think your more likely to get caught up in "princess syndrome" where u put all these false emotions and feelings into someone who you only vaguely know. Seems like a lot of self-deluded people imho. Online you get to know the person before you meet them, in real life you meet them then get to know them. plus i never been catfished in real dating.

Why is this so hard for people to understand? :snoop:

It's not the same at all.

I'm a dude where in real life, I may not go in for the "kill" ont he first time I meet a chick. Especially if I know I'll be seeing her again. I'll leave just enough of the window open so she knows I'm attracted, let it build, then work from there. That's actually pretty normal.

Online, like I said, she could be talking to 10 other dudes simultaneously. You could cut right to the chase and possibly strike out by being too forward, OR you could strike out by taking things "too slow"

Dating is dating.
Only the mediums change. Face to face, letters, phone calls, and now internet.

It's just that technology has added another aspect, but it's the same.

Love, jealousy, frustration, laughter, sentimentality...everything you have with relationships on the internet existed in relationships before the internet.

She could be doing that in real life and you would suffer the same fate :manny:
