WBA and IBF world champion in the super middleweight division Carl Froch wants to avoid fighting Amir "King" Khan.
Khan, the former WBA and IBF world champion from Bolton, Lancashire, United Kingdom faces Devon Alexander from St. Louis this upcoming December 13th.
“Just swerve King Khan like the plague. He punches like a mule. I don’t need to be in with him. Dangerous fight,” Froch, who is in a higher weight division than "King" Khan said.
Mule or not, but Khan wrecked Luis Collazo in the fourth round, and dropped him twice more in the tenth round to breeze to a dominant UD decision in May 2015.
In the meantime, Khan is not planning to move up to a higher weight division just yet....so Froch is safe for now. After beating Collazo, Khan challenged Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
The most ducked boxer in the sport said that he wanted to acquire all of the titles in the welterweight category first before moving on to 154, 160, 168, 175, Cruiserweight, and Heavyweight.
“Khan will be a guy who is going to be tough to beat. I’m not sure that there’s too many guys out there that are going to give him too much of a run. Good luck to the guys who can and I’d love to get another opportunity one day,” Collazo said after the fight.
