My side hustle is buying and selling cars. I usually keep one a year after buying it cheap as fk. Fixing it up then selling for a profit anywhere from 50-300% depending on if it’s rare or has a audience willing to spend money. It’s a hobby of mine though that makes me money and keeps me happy.

As an example.
That A3 on my list had a rare vr6 motor and option set but the trans was bad. Bought it for $1800 slapped a $500 transmission on it and drove it around for two years then sold it for $6k

Bought a black z3 for $500 with 50k miles on the chassis and a blown motor. Came across a junker on Craigslist with a compatible motor I got for free after a trade for some useless tires and wheels I had laying around. Swapped the motor, drove it for a year or so then sold it for $5k. Would’ve been more but someone hit it on the side so it had some minor damage I didn’t want to fix
