Live in NYC and have not owned a car in more than 15 years.
-For quick trips I use Uber.
-For longer trips just outside the city, I use Zipcar. -And for extra long days, expensive-as$$ Enterprise.

But when I lived in FL I owned (In this order):
1. '87 OldsmobileCutlass
2. '92 Ford Taurus (worst car I've ever owned)
3. '97 Saturn (2nd POS car)
4. 2004 Nissan Sentra (gave me the least issues out of all)

Gotta say, I do NOT miss owning a car. Yes it's convenient but all the damn maintenance...and in NYC it's just an extra added headache.

How many have you guys owned through the years?

2007-10 Mercedes Smart Car
2010-14 Honda Element
2014-15 Chevrolet Camaro (was totaled)
2016-present Dodge Charger
2022- it will be the hellcat and lil man can have the old one

:wow: I still miss my Smart Car...$7 for a full tank for 2 weeks. I would get it today as a side car to commute if my job required me to with no hesitation.

89 jeep Cherokee (bought for $500 in 98)
98 jeep Cherokee (bought in 2002, have car payments in college brehs)
2004 jeep Cherokee (bought new)
2010 Honda Civic (bought new)
2017 Honda Civic (bought last year)

That 98 jeep Cherokee had my credit score in the 500s

The 2004 Cherokee gave me a $420 monthly payment. I was paying $450 splitting an apartment at the time.

$7???

Other than the fact you can only fit a bookbag in there and the car would lose in any collision seems like a great city car.

If you have the space I never would have let it go.

1995 Park Avenue (had hella miles on it.. 150k+ my dad basically just gave it to me because he got a new car, eventually gave out within like 6 months)

2002 LeSabre (got it for cheap from my mom because she was getting a new car, shyt got totaled by a drunk driver... while it was parked in front of my house, lol. ended up getting more insurance money than i paid for it)

2004 Impala LS (got it used in 09 with low miles, was apparently owned by an old couple who never drove it, ran it into the ground lol)

2011 Impala LS (got it used with low miles in 2015, i think it was a federal/state agency car because it had dealer plates when i got it used. still doesn't have too many miles on it because i don't have a bad commute. lol barely put any miles on it in the last 6 months thanks to the pandemic. i figure it will last me a few more years at least.)

none of them ever really gave me any problems except for the Park Avenue, but that shyt was on its last legs already when i got it.

The fist 500 was the most fun car I ever drove. You could do donuts with that bytch on a 1 lane road.

I always request it when I get a rental. I would have bought one in 2010 they Just came to the US market and I did not know how reliable they were at that point.
