No, he's SecState...which is crazy in itself because that should be the last position to have anything to do with overseeing covert ops. :dead:

If anything, they should be reporting to DNI but I know that doesn't make for sexy TV.

Freeman is secretary of state, Kidman is CIA and Joe's boss, and Kelly is deputy director of CIA and Kidman's boss

Yes. That's makes way more sense. So the deputy director of the CIA is meeting with the SecState but not his boss the actual director of the CIA or DNI?

How is SecState "sexier" than DNI or CIA??? Plus wouldn't they be meeting with the Chief of Staff not the SecState.

I didn't know Intelligence agencies answer directly to POTUS. I thought they were under Dept of Defense. :ehh:

I just mean “sexy” in a sense that they’re gonna give Morgan Freeman a more important position of SecState vs some other cabinet position

And I believe the woman in those meetings is the Chief of Staff (or the guy is). The other person is likely the National Security Advisor.

It doesn’t matter so much what department an intelligence agency falls under though (in regards to Presidential authority). They all have to report to DNI who answers to POTUS.

She's a soldier pretending to be a wife and mother

nikkas going to Iran to start WW3. Good luck, guys
I think she wanted both for a brief second, but quickly realized that she's a soldier first and foremost. She tries to justify it by saying shes doing it for her family, while they call her out on her BS for it.

The truth is she loves the field too much, and is selfish. But it gets her results at her job, so...

Neal would've left her a long time ago it not for the kids

I'm guessing the Chief CIA Director is front facing and responsible for the big boys like Russia and North Korea and he/she gives the Deputy CIA Director reign over the off book dirty work/blackop programs like Lioness. It is strange that Morgan is showing up to his house and not his bosses house but the DCIA is directly hired by POTUS and doesn't have to go through Senate confirmation unlike his boss so Morgan knows to go straight to him to get stuff done.

in modern times this role is clearly DNI and not State, but it seems that the writers were inspired by Kissinger and wanted Freeman's character to be State. shyt Freeman himself maybe influenced it and was like what the fukk is a DNI, if i'm going to be in this show I want to be a Kissinger type character at State.
