300k over five years is ta terrible offer too. He's traveling everywhere, he was on TV every week, he's paying for expenses out of his own pocket and they wanted him to make less over five years than what a city sanitation worker could make over five years.

For real though, being a garbage man makes money. I get you now, Duke the Dumpster:wow:

Imagine he did start gettin shine
On some huge level
And stuck in a contract for 5 years makking less than his worth

Regarding the rumors of sending Rush back to NXT, the idea would be to build him a new character and present him as something more than just a mouthpiece.
Why do they need to send him to NXT to do that? Why does he need a new character? Just have him fukking wrestle as the annoying loud mouth heel he's been as a manager:gucci:

Despite the problems, Rush was reportedly recently offered a new five-year contract, said to be in the range of $300,000. Rush reportedly turned that offer down and asked for double the pay. His current contract expires in 2020 some time. Regarding the rumors of sending Rush back to NXT, the idea would be to build him a new character and present him as something more than just a mouthpiece. Rush reportedly suggested, at least once, that WWE should release him so he can "show them" what he can accomplish outside of the company. There's no word yet on when Rush will return to WWE TV, but he has reportedly been pulled from the upcoming European tour, a decision made a week ago. Rush has been backstage for RAW, but obviously not used.

WWE's so scared of guys going to other companies that they're willing to offer a guy, someone who apparently has been such a pain in the ass to them that they won't use him and he (allegedly) has nuclear heat with the locker room, a long term contract...to do absolutely nothing. :gucci:

He may be a colossal dikkhead for all we know (nothing in his side of the story necessarily disproves that), but he needs to get away from this dumbass company for his own good. Go back on the indies, adjust the attitude a bit (without losing confidence in himself), and make real money on the circuit. Because he sure as hell doesn't seem to be headed anywhere in WWE.

Also, I just have to say this as well: fukk Booker and Mark Henry for hanging this guy out to dry in the media (reading Henry's comments really made me rethink some of the stuff I said earlier on in the thread, if I'm being honest). Lio decides to have a modicum of pride as a Black man, and all of a sudden he needs to be crushed in public? Because he doesn't want to be seen IN PUBLIC doing menial duties for people?

Listen, I still think he needs to humble himself a bit and pay some dues, but these people seem to think that he should just suffer any old bullshyt for the sake of paying dues. The point shouldn't be to humiliate guys, but to teach them the business from the ground up, as with any apprenticeship. Carrying someone's bags doesn't achieve that. Sitting in gorilla with the producers and watching matches from that perspective, building rings with the ring crew, working sales like a lot of wrestlers did in ECW, that type of work actually teaches you about different aspects of the business.

So yeah, the more I think about it, the less I mind certain aspects of Lio's frustration. I think it would have been better for his WWE career to just keep his head down to an extent and think about alleviating this issue in the long term (again everyone eats an unnecessary amount of shyt; there really isn't any avoiding it), and the way he's going about all of this isn't really the smartest thing he could do at the moment, but I definitely get where he's coming from.

:wow:

That's actually some pretty decent hardline negotiating. He likely knows they're not meeting his salary demands. And at this point, any negative action taken toward him could be positioned as retaliatory.

They got 2 billion in new TV contracts. He has every right to press them for more off GP.
