While I don’t agree with his opinion on Jay-Z’s albums, many albums from the late '90s and early 2000s sound very dated. The song structure is very dated as well. I can't imagine most kids nowadays enjoying a lot of those albums.

I listened to Mantronix and T La Rock when I was 16 in 1993 and it was "Dated" then but I had enough sense to know the music was made a decade ago. That "dated" excuse is ridiculous.

I don't think you need to listen to xyz album in order to make rap music but as a producer you should have some basic idea of what you're talking about. What "live production" on Reasonable Doubt? And if he's talking about the Black Album...from what I remember only a couple tracks have live instrumentals - 99 Problems and the the Quik track. Dude is just stupid, and I love how smug he is about not being knowledgeable. He thinks this is a badge of honor to brag about.

I'm guessing by "live production" this idiot means samples of music played by live musicians and not one finger fruity loops arpeggios. :mjlol:

This dim nikka has been mouthy as fukk the last few days. He needs to go back to eating Pizza nonstop and shut his gotdamn mouth.
I’m thinking the same

Was black album a live album? Like homie @Piff Perkins said I only remember a couple tracks with live production

I would suspect American gangster was

Y’all remember when Beans told Flex “what’s up with these happy beats… I need something DARK”

That’s what he is saying. He ain’t tryin to hear flutes and all that shyt.

Black Album sounds like a house party without some bullshyt

Reasonable Doubt sounds like a cigar lounge night without some bullshyt

Both chill vibes but Lil Yahty want the bullshyt, he want the fukk shyt.

He want the Brooklyn Finest Jay but Jay too old for that shyt
