Nah it doesn’t, a lot of this so far is generic.

WLR was pretty seamless & cohesive.

Even the production had some sort of creativity can’t really say the same for this.

Hooks and Melodies are better on WLR.

Lyrically, I mean what is the bar for lyrics if we’re talking about Lil Uzi and Playboi Carti lmao
WLR sounds like 2 different albums to me. I also hate how it's mixed, this just sounds better.

Like half of this shyt is garbage, and his rock sensibilities are so surface level and ass…which is surprising cuz he really is a metal head.

I hate how mainstream rap albums be sounding like 20 random ass songs with 0 thoughts on sequencing or anything like that.

Will sell like hot cakes tho :yeshrug:

You're buggin....WLR grew on me but it definitely wasn't cohesive/seamless.
Lyrics, hooks, and melodies from Carti we're lacking....Production and features saved Carti

Werewolf a perfect example, holy generic Batman lmao

Sounded like Uzi was a feature on his own song lol

Bmth are decent and I didnt mind the song but yea shyt was like a throwaway throwaway. But tbf I listen to that type of shyt on the regular so it may be mind blowing to most of his fans

I'll check this out tomorrow but I'm not expecting to be blown away at all, I tend to like Uzi when he's not doing his own music because other nikkas make him spit. When he's doing his own music he's trying to be a chameleon rockstar popstar ass nikka.

People said this about WLR too when it came out

The perception of this album will be not the recorded version but all the extracurricular shyt uzi does with performing this at tours, festivals, etc just like WLR

So all this rah rah shyt you saying sounds cool right now but it just sounds like hating to me. :yeshrug:

Super throwaway lol but your last sentence is fair.

I mean if you haven’t listened to it yet can you really say if this is “hating”. It’s my feedback from what I’m hearing so far. WLR on first listen was dope to me so :yeshrug:

Album has some cool parts to it and a lot of generic/meh to it.

7 songs in, this is exactly what it sounds like. Not saying the beats are bad so far, but he’s definitely in his angry emo pop bag early on at least. Also, no Pi’erre Bourne makes me much less interested to even finish the album.

WLR was ass outside of 3 songs btw, especially when compared to how dope Die Lit was.
