Assuming: Soul Food, lifestyle choices, liquor, lean, not working out, etc.
All of the above but especially Lean. Itā€™s way too addictive and good plus it kills your insides. I remember I drunk it for two days straight and the effects were already being felt physically. I do still drink it but like once or twice a year.

As quiet as its kept, with all the justified critiques of what has become of "soul food" , it would be a relative improvement to eat that routinely as opposed to how the public actually eats....

The "soul food" may be a once or twice a week thing (at the most)... and at least thats home prepared. People live out of restaurants bags and boxes. In short: products. As bad as soul food can be, at least it can be legitimately categorized as food for the most part

Homeboy was a truck driver for a while.... you dont live off soul food on the road ijs

Itā€™s not just rappers. I lost three people in their 40s in the last couple of years from cardiac arrest. Cardiovascular health issues are very rampant in the community and we need to be talked about more.

Yup! Iā€™m 38 and Iā€™ve significantly cut back on drinking, eating out, processed foods and red meat. I do a lot of fasting and running which has done wonders for my mental and physical health.

Youā€™re on the right track. The last couple of years were a wake up call. I was working out like five times a week, but I got a check up and I had high cholesterol due to my diet. I used to meat with every meal. :dame: Over the last year I have significantly cut down on meat to one or two meals a week. My cholesterol has fallen to normal levels.

Iā€™ve also mad it a point to talk to my friends and family about cardiovascular health.

Yeahhh when I was hot in these skreets I got offered that shyt HELLA times on tour, studios, etc. Never tried it cuz im already a chillin ass nikka so i didnt see the point. Plus someone called it liquid heroin and that always stuck with me

Honest Question: Specifically, since you are no longer addicted, Why do you drink it?

What feeling does it give you, and what do you get from it overall as a perceived temporary ā€œbenefitā€?
