Difference is Jay Z was a generational talent, who because of that, was able to leverage his celebrity long term.
Master P was a flash in the pan and was chopped liver once Cash Money came through.
I do believe however, with his image, he would've killed in the Sports Agent game. He had them Jews on high alert. That botched Ricky Williams contract gave them Jews all they needed to discredit him.

I won't even say this P was a guy that couldn't get out of his own way. He had to rap and be on everbodys album or show so he can get paid too. Homie was too greedy and too thirsty and now its catching up to him. Yep, where they pushed Jay..........they tried(and succeeded) to destroy Master P. Think it was Budden that said one of the reasons Cash Money got that big deal because the majors didnt like what P was doing independently and backed Cash Money to get No Limit outta there.
Also on the Jay thing, wasnt it a rumor majors/higher ups backed Jay because he "snitched" about the black distribution thing J Prince/Suge/Irv were forming?

Homie posted this a few years which breaks it down…basically P lost the masters after using them as collateral for a bigger deal…then BBTP ended up getting the masters awarded to them because P never paid them their share and successfully sued the label
