Nah, dude doesn't understand music or even know that one of the main factors in a song being classified as country is that the beat hits on 1 & 3 instead of 2 & 4 like hiphop/pop.
99% of people don’t know that.
I’m a hip hop fan, I don’t listen to country. How would I know a foundational characteristic of country like that?

To me country is guitars and red neck accents singing about their pickup trucks and dogs.

I’ve learned the past few days that country now has trap beats.

All that means to me is that it seems all the mainstream genres are starting to blend together.

I hear this song and I hear another terrible trap beat with singing that sounds like parody.
