As somebody who was a big TLC fan from jump I really wasn't excited about a movie. I honestly just figured it would be like the Biggie joint and really didn't want to sit through it. I was surprised though, not a fan of lil mama but she did her thing, she was great.

My thing is that left eye was just too...dynamic, being that she was the one that always stood out, she really went above and beyond to capture that, but I dont feel like the writers matched her effort and just fell short of what was already pretty impossible to do in trying to translate the many dimensions of her as a person. I almost just want a left eye movie to be honest

So this movie really was that good huh??? Got me trying to get a recording lined up and can't find nothing. TLC got classic joints though - I will never deny that. My homie always had a thing for Chili when we were younger - he noticed the body was on point right away. I always liked Left Eye - she seemed the cuter one when I was younger.

Same thing, I remember watching the Creep video with my Dad and he was like "Whose the cutest" and I picked Left Eye. I thought her and Janet Jackson were the BADDEST women on the planet. My dad was trying to put me on Game telling me Chili was the baddest but I didn't see it until the "Red Light" video dropped and Chili had me like:drool:

The other memories this brought back was the early music scene in the A and Atlanta's rise in the 90's as it became the black Mecca (challenging chocolate city at the time and before it became full of foolywang rappers, strippers, and the whole Hollywood mentality). I'd love to see a film cover LaFace/Arista, So So Def, Organized Noize/Dungeon Fam, and the artists involved, make that shyt a week long special, I think it's pertinent to modern urban music history and is a story that needs to be told just the same as people have done with motown, death row, and bad boy...that 90's ATL scene was too tough

Just got done watching it. Honestly, I wasn't even checking for this flick. But it kept popping up on my social media so I decided to check it out via torrent.

It was a good movie for what it was. Lil Mama did a good job, Keke was serviceable, and the girl playing T-Boz did a great job as well.

This movie got me nostalgic as fukk tho. As an 83 baby I'm convinced that growing up in the 90s >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anything else.

And tell me why I got a lil teary eyed at the end. Just a bit. I have no idea why either. I guess I felt bad for them girls and all they went thru.

Movie would be too long and they would probably botch it. There's a TON of material to cover. I hope people don't jump the shark and start trying to make a bunch of movies about 90's artists now. This movie came out of nowhere and was a breath of fresh air. nikkas need to chill for a bit before they milk the next moneymaking opportunity.
