i was watching something last week where they said that they were really hitting that girl at the end of the video.(edit: i was watching "soul story" on vh1 soul.)
and they continued on talking mad chit about her for like another 30-60 seconds.
i remember somebody on sohh said that they knew her boyfriend at the time. he played baseball for some college or something.
laface was a commercial powerhouse. and they were directly under arista - hence, the clive davis/puff daddy scene.
laface/arista was the biggest machine in black music back in the '90s/early '00s. and laface was based out of Atlanta. that's why i laugh at people that think Atlanta is just now poppin in the industry. its been the black entertainment mecca for over 2 decades now.
there may be some errors because i often lump laface & arista in the same bag:

So this movie really was that good huh??? Got me trying to get a recording lined up and can't find nothing. TLC got classic joints though - I will never deny that. My homie always had a thing for Chili when we were younger - he noticed the body was on point right away. I always liked Left Eye - she seemed the cuter one when I was younger.
