Here are six things to know about Falicia Blakely that the film doesn’t mention:
- To avoid the death penalty, Blakely plead guilty to the armed robbery and double murders of Raymond Goodwin, 34, and Claudell Christmas, 35. Falicia committed these crimes in 2002 when she was 18-years-old under the orders of her abusive pimp.
- Blakely was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences with no eligibility for parole after pleading guilty to pulling the trigger in the murders. Her accomplice in crime and fellow stripper Armeshia Ervin received one life sentence with eligibility for parole in 2024.
- Blakely was arrested in the restroom of a diner, Mrs Winner’s, where she and Ervin were allegedly planning to commit a robbery. They had recently robbed several other fast food restaurants in Atlanta. Their arrest came about one week after they went on a 24-hour murder spree.
- Blakely and Ervin killed a third man, Lemetrius Twitty, 12 hours after they killed the pair who they confessed to murdering. Lemetrius was a witness to a fatal Atalanta fight that led to murder charges against NFL linebacker Ray Lewis.
When they were arrested, police realized that Blakely and Ervin were driving the car of one of the victims they murdered. The restaurant owners at Mrs Winner’s called police when the pair began to act suspicious after a string of robberies at other fast-food restaurants.
- At the time of the murders, Blakely was the youngest woman in Georgia to face the death penalty. She is now serving life in prison, without the possibility of parole. But she hopes her story helps other young women in similar situations.

I understand. Can't come back from murder......hopefully she has grown past being the naive young woman she used to be and is a better woman today.
I really feel sorry for her child. Was a little disappointed the movie didn't give an update about her.
Movie was probably made with the intentions of being "juicy". Nothing in it really humanized anyone honestly and made me care about their fate, could just be a case of amatuer writing/direction.
Also Lil mama is actually a solid low budget actress but i dont think this was the best role for her. And Lance Gross is a terrible actor just like that dude from Queen sugar and girls trip but they get roles since black women find them attractive.
Whats funny is at least the dudes who were in their positions back in the day like Shamar moore and Moreis Chestnut actually had range, these new dudes are terrible. Lance Gross RUINED that movie Dueces with Larenz Tate. Like it was embarrassing how much Larenz Tate outclassed Lance as an actor, even Rotimi who is a relative newbie out acted Lance.

I agree to an extent. I've seen this tragic fast life story plenty of times and wasn't impressed with it per se. I watched the movie for Niatia. She did a good job bringing the character's story to life and captured the emotions well.
As for Lance, I'm not familiar with his work and can't think of him in anything past Tyler Perry's show, but for this movie I saw him as a pimp. Not the best pimp (more like manipulator), but good enough for this movie. To me the Falicia movie was solid overall and both he and Lil Ma delivered.
As for the old skool actors, Morris Chestnut has range, Shemar has good moments. Lol
Watch Deuces on Netflix, Lance is terrible compared to everyone else in that flick. Lil Mama can act but for this story they would have been better actually getting an Atlanta actress or at least someone thicker because Lance literally says "damn you thick" to her and I`m like lmfaooooo

I figured that was your reason. It stumped me too honestly, but I must say back n the day strippers were as skinny as her. I mingled with a few. The first time I met strippers with ass shots was around '98/'99.
