Oh, I certainty have no problem listening to Lauryn Hill's raps... I forget about her :snoop:

Doo Wop is a classic :ohlawd:

Those other female MC's are before my time, your post is my first time hearing about Jean Grae, that song is dope.

Dap for putting me on to a new Hip Hop artist :myman:

More Jean Grae songs that you might like.

I never heard of that song before :pachaha:

I was born in 91, my first exposure to Queen Latifah was on a sitcom (In living single?) back in the late 90's.

However I heard of this song back then (The hook)...

Angie Martinez, Lil Kim, Left Eye, Da Brat & Missy Elliott - Ladies Night (Video) - YouTube

:ehh:

Lol...I thought you might be born in 80s but never too late to learn old classic music but at least you got some taste in music so I respect that :salute:

Queen Latifah was strong black woman, pro-black back then til the Hollywood changed her and they threw $$$ at her.

Have you seen the movie Juice with 2Pac? Queen was in that movie too. Do you know that Queen is a lesbian?

Yea I saw Juice before, haven't watched it in a while though.

As for Queen being a lesbian, I never really paid attention to her personal life :ehh:

If shes a lesbian then its :manny:

Felt the same way about Frank Ocean being gay.

"Hard Core" had more impact on Female Hip Hop than "Ill Na Na". Females are coping Kim's (Biggie) Blueprint from that album. "Ill Na Na" was dope, don't get me wrong but it's about 4 MICS. Kim dropped a Classic. "No Time" is better than any Foxy Single. "Big Momma Thang" had mad females going in the club. "Ladies Night" brought all the females together. She even had hard joints on there for dudes like "Drugs, Spend a Little Doe". "Crush On You" was also a huge single. Kim had hit after hit. Foxy had a spark and fell off heavy after "Ill Na Na", Kim went on to drop more hot music and stay relevent for 10 years till 2005. Also the Lil Kim Promo Poster is one of the most influencial in Hip Hop, Look how many people have bitten it:

Hard Core is the Female "ILLmatic/Ready To Die" for the Impact it had on the game and how many Chicks started biting it (Not Lyrically just image and style). Literally there's Before Lil Kim and After. Before Kim, Female Emcees (Lyte, Latifah) were dressing like Dudes. Kim brought the sexiness to female Hip Hop and let Females be Females. Foxy and many other's followed suit.
