I think Durk did the opposite of what most artists are doing these days. Instead of making the main release better and adding throwaways on the deluxe version, his original album sounded like throwaways and the deluxe sounds like the actual album.
I don't know why the consensus in Chicago is Herb over Durk, but Herb hasn't made a song better than his first hit (kill shyt) and it's been like 8 years lol.
dis ain't what u want was dope and made me a fan but "Fabricated" is my favorite song of 2020 by a large margin.
as for "The Voice" it isn't better than the album before it but it's a decent lil something till the next drop, I ain't mad
you would've had a better argument with Ridin Wit It
Me and Cap' was sippin' drip like we ain't have no ceilings
nikka, Max was on them hits, so he couldn't have no feelings
All them bytches under his belt and ain't got no civilians
Just like eeny, miney, moe, he hop out, right there, get 'em
Damn, how you know? 'CAUSE I WAS RIGHT THERE WIT HIM
still not better than Kill shyt when it comes to just pure rapping

I just realized I'm talking to an out of town nikka this like me tryna put you on some meek Mill foh I heard all that shyt already lol
Know a couple nikkas that's down to ride for a homicide
When it's drama time
Run up on a nikka with the llamas flyin
Leave his loved ones all traumatized
150, I'm really wit' it
I'll drop his ass and then forget it
I'm the man round my side of town
Might see a bytch and forget I hit it
Lil Bibby on the track with me
One mistake and he clap fifty
When I hit the scene hoes go insane
'Cause they know a nikka got them racks wit' me
No velcro but the strap wit' me
Let a nikka wanna act silly
I'ma let it off and then leave him there
Ride off and don't even care
bytch I cash out 'till I pass out
Got a couple trues I don't even wear
In the game bytch I do my thang
Hoes scream my name I ain't even there
Lil Herb boy I do's this
Leave your bytch wetter than a pool pit
And I make bands like I make friends
Bought some Ray-Bans on some cool shyt
But now it's back to some killa shyt
Got some wild hoes that'll drill a bytch
Yea it's no limit, thirty years runnin'
Thirty years gunnin' and we still the shyt
I never run 'cause I stay to fight
I'll cook a nikka like steak and rice
And it's hella real in the battlefield
Gangbang gotta pay the price
Hit a nikka with the forty fifth
Bet it make his ass do forty flips
M-O-B I don't love a ho
I'ma be this way 'til I'm forty six
Matter of fact 'til a nikka die
Smoke kush blunts 'til a nikka cry
And I never feed off another man
'Cause I understand how a nikka lie
Never snitch on a nikka dry
Yeah that's how a nikka die
Got a yellow bytch in the passenger
She gon' suck and fukk if I get her high
If I do the dash then my whip will fly
Foreign shyt what a nikka ride
I ain't never snoozin', let a nikka try
Got the nine ruger on a nikka side
Literally the whole verse from start to finish is a quotable. I'm not saying he garbage he's actually still dope it's just he's the Tyreke Evans of hip-hop breh came in the league fire but hasn't elevated since...
....I know you wanna argue with that last line but keep in mind BLIK came out in like '15 he already showed us his skillset on that project and hasn't progressed since.

It's more like you comparing an old Meek song to his new shyt. Yeah he had that fire back then but he's evolved to a mainstream rapper nowadays, some people like it and others dont. I agree to disagree.
