I think his biggest mistake is replacing his guys who were killed (that he was really close with) with guys who were just hanging around just on some “strength in numbers” game. OTF went from actual family and day ones to adjacent guys with no real connection.
He thought they had the same level of loyalty which is always a mistake (and truth be told you can’t trust anyone if that’s how you’re moving).
This wasn’t Durk’s first rodeo; I highly doubt he handed anyone credit cards and said do what you gotta do. His fault is presenting the task into the atmosphere, and then having people that stupid close enough to have access to company credit cards in the first place.
Was the idea itself stupid when you’re up millions? Absolutely. At the same time I can’t assign my level or moralistic standards and intelligence to someone else.
I think a valid question is if the average person had millions of dollars and had the opportunity to avenge a family member(s) without doing it themselves, would they do it? I’d say a good majority would.
All in all it was a stupid crash out. Should’ve killed him with success like he was actually doing in the first place.
Basically how I look at it. As usual I appreciate
@murksiderock 's perspective but I gotta respectfully disagree on some parts.
Is it smart for Durk to be tied to some shyt like this at this point in his life and career? No. But we all know and watched what he come from and it ain't just the hood but it's that fried ass culture of drill (no excuse, shyt just is what it is)
I don't even think it's about trying to be super gangsta or none of that. nikkas getting killed and hits ain't outside of his realm and shyt he accustomed to.
And with bread, "code"/principles, emotions, ego, drugs, connections, peer pressure, we get a situation like this. Brehs talking about he let social media comments get to em when the gang and his group chats prolly had way more of an influence if anything.
When you in that life, gang leader(let's just call it what it is), with real deal fame, AND the bag, AND that was ya man's.... It put you into a crazy position pause.
As mentioned, though credit cards is crazy. Them boys was better off using crypto and hiring a fiend, even if you gotta plan plot strategize and get his ass a debit card somehow. Anything but the direct paper trail
EDIT: To the company
