Like I said unless they got durk on audio saying kill xyz, all they got is text messages a from one of several of his phones which could have been picked up by the dozens of people he's around daily . The lyrics thing in thugs case was made a mockery of and I think it will be the same here. Other than that no smoking gun on durk the other dummy's are done for.

Reading through the affidavit, is really complicated, even for me, but there's a lot in there.

-Shooter left his real phone inside a stolen car at the murder scene

-Shooter left his DNA on a coffee/lean cup

-Shooters left receipts from burgers and Walgreens in the car (which allowed investigators to track their movements and ID them)

-Shooter applied for a new cell phone 5 days after he left his, with his real name

-His girlfriend called 44 minutes AFTER the shooting and reported his phone stolen

-two other conspirators set up MACK, by calling and informing the shooters on his movements inside the youth building

-The calls and texts on the phone line up exactly as the shooters arrive and MACK leaves

-They got the text messages from right after the shooting referencing Durk.

-The shooter AJ, updated his Facebook page to show a large amount of money after being paid by Durk and playing the same song Durk made about the murders

- Recorded jail calls show one person and AJ discussing song lyrics about a snowman, a reference to killing MACK in the snow, his body was in the "supine" position, this was not public information

Kinda depressing to think of the reality for these young guys. Rolling around easting burgers and drinking lean with no money, hoping to hit someone and collect a reward. Durk is just....I don't know. He think he's insulated playing the boss, and dropping bodies by issuing bounties, but the guys desperate enough to do this, are like retards. So the evidence points right back to him.

The truth is they aren't his guys at all. They are just desperate enough and tied in (barely) enough to do it. They weren't even sure they were getting paid. It's basically like sharing economy contract murder. They are independent contractors. One job, one time.

My guess is Powell and Montgomery started cooperating awhile ago, and there is another federal indictment on the same charges waiting in Northern District of Illonois, but the LA one took priority, because it was higher profile and more recent, maybe stronger case. But, Durk's team already started talking. A close read of the court documents, someone who was at the In N Out Burger post killing has already been cooperating.

The US Attorneys in Chicago and LA deconflicted and shared info to make each case stronger.

As a true crime fan that grew up watching, Cold Case Files, America's Most Wanted and A&E docs with my granny, the macbre and true crime has always fascinated me, one thing me and my girl can do is sit up and watch all those shows for hours.

it's endemic in society, across all cultural and socioeconimc lines. They just happen to be young gangsters and killers. They brag and document their lives the same way suburban kids do. Same way the tech bros do. Same way blue collar guys do. Same way club kids do.

Drug cartels in Mexico, same thing. They use social media for propaganda, and post pics and do all that same shyt.
