It happens but its not as sinister as some would think. "What Happened To Virgil", "All My Life", "Laugh Now Cry Later", "Who Want Smoke?". Are pretty popular songs. While some may not be true Durk fans they probably have these songs in their playlists.

Now what was weird for me is one month some white guy name "Jungle" appeared in my top artists. Then I realized it was because I was listening to "Bravehearted" when I was in my Nas Collection. Seems like they don't differentiate artists with the same name.

Labels were buying albums, that shyt got outed. And streaming numbers are janky, fugazi calculations.....I'm not sure what your point is here
Even if thats the case labels had to actually purchased the albums (i dont think it was like the way most make it out to be)

Now with streaming this a another ballgame. Labels i dont think play a part like that. I think this is the artist with these farms. Labels just get u playlist placements.

French Montana got 10k plays from me in 2023. The only song i ever streamed from French is shot caller. That was over 10 years ago lol

That people will selectively and arbitrarily pick and chose when to cast doubt on the sales of artists, regardless of the actual metric or even method of consumption…and to see people whine about streams and how they’re tabulated and get all nostalgia about “physical sales”, when people would just try to invalidate CDs sales when someone sold more than they wanted is comical
