Lil Baby blew spring of 2018 by way of a Drake feature on one of his songs. It was a time where 14-21 year olds wanted someone younger they could relate too as Future was getting older. Lil Baby somewhat filled a vacuum. Now here we are 7 years later and a lot of the impressionable teens seem to feel they were overrating Lil Baby all along.
