Just came back from seeing this.

There were a ton of high schoolers in my theatre being hella loud :stopitslime:

But their commentary was actually funny tho :russ:

Movies was good imo.

It had a very similar concept to Darkness Falls. Pretty enjoyable :ehh:

I enjoyed it. I didn't think they got the most out of the concept, especially since there's a scene in the final act that so perfectly utilizes the (fukkery) possibilities of this concept that it kinda makes you realize how much they left on the table in other parts. Also, the ending was a bit too abrupt which I thought was odd since the movie did do a tremendous job of building up towards it. It did make perfect sense though, and that's probably the thing I appreciated the most, the story is very much self-contained in such a way that the logic it operates on always makes sense in the context, even if it's silly when you stop to think about it, and there is a good arc to the principal characters that makes the confrontation with the "ghost" actually matter.

Also, the Bret character might be my favorite character in a horror movie since forever. Nothing but salutations for that dude.:salute:

May have to peep it next week but fukk Bourne comes out next week. Maybe sunday
and suicide squad the week after. hollywood really fukked the scheduling. June and half of july was pretty much a wasteland for non animated blockbusters and then they put 4 back to back to back to back :what:

Peep the witch homie
I still need to cop that. I'll probably cop digital because my wife wouldn't approve if she saw the blu on the shelf :lolbron:

I still think about that movie all the time

Cornfields, cows, & an one stoplight town
It was OK. There were some really good creepy scenes, but then most of it was predictable jump scares. The ending though was kinda awesome.
I love that they had the mother take the unconventional route and blow her brains out. I was expecting a more Hollywood/Conjuring type of ending but that was wonderfully dark. I also liked the boyfriend exercised common sense and went to get the cops.
I do think it's funny how in movies like this when there's a black CPS worker or cop, they're not portrayed as heroes but uninformed and hard headed. Overall, I'd say this is a good rental.

I actually laughed out loud when Bret got away from Diana and instead of running back into the house to save his girl and her brother he hopped in his car and drove off.

Just saw it, thought it was very solid :obama:

That ending :whew:

couple points...
-The lil brother was a straight SOLDIER, he was ready to die with his moms :salute: :mjcry:
-Bret/Brad da real MVP, only mistake he made was being involved with that thot in the 1st damn place :snoop: I just kept thinking "Why the hell someone as sensible as dude risking his life for this selfish c*nt :what:
-Speaking of which, WHAT A SELFISH c*nt. This bytch KNEW what her lil bro was going through and gave his lil ass the cold shoulder until he said "Diana"
-The Mom's acting was on point, in fact, everybody did their damn thing, acting was very good
-I was on #TeamDirtyDiana when the LAPD came through :ehh:
-Had to be two minority, idiot cops though :aicmon:
-How did Diana knock on her door at her apartment with all that light in the hallway? Or was the knocking always coming from the closet? I wasn't sure...
-Diana only being weak to "white" light :mjpls:
-That suicide :wow:
-"Leave us alone, or I'll show you where I put your father!" :damn:
-Thinking duct taped light switches would save them :mjlol:
-Going into a horror movie without seeing a trailer and coming out :blessed:
