They aren’t suggesting this game is in any way related to Horizon though. Sony is acting like this game will confuse people into thinking it’s related.

My point always was this is normal for the video game industry. People called Uncharted Dude Raider. The Last of Us rips off The Road. Hell PlayStation was a joint project with Nintendo that they backed out of and Sony repurposed it as it's own thing.
In gaming ripping off other companies is industry standard practice.

if that image popped up on digital stores with no other info, there will most definitely be some confusion. Mechanics aside, the main character looks just like Aloy.
That gameplay makes it look more of a Palworld clone than anything. So basically these companies are making survival crafting games with visual identities from other games. That way you can say the gameplay differentiates itself from whatever the original was. They'll probably have to change some stuff just like Palworld did but I doubt its getting taken out.
