1. Just because life dealt you a bad hand doesn't mean you should "flop" :ehh:

2. Whatever positiion you find yourself in life, deplicts your next move :youngsabo:

3. Dont rush into marriage just because you found a good "queen", its likely she will cost you alot of "money" :laff:

:sadcam:

 I was just talking to my friends the other day about how everything I learned about becoming a good poker player can be carried over into everyday life. So I think it's a great thread, but I'm also a poker player.

I was honestly thinking the same shyt.

I was arguing with my girl one day and she just kept going on and on about nonesense so instead of firing back, i just "folded" and "left the table" In the end, I won

7. Sometimes it's just best to sit back and observe the situation (people ALWAYS show their weaknesses/flaws if you give them time).

8. Don't rush. The faster you go, the more likely you are to crash and burn (although you can get lucky every now and then).

9. Remain humble/Cockiness can be your downfall.
Example: I was in Tunica and won first place in a regular casino tournament (my goal was just to make the final table so I could have enough money to buy into the WSOP women's event). I already draw a lot of attention because back then I was typically the only black woman playing with a table full of old, rich white men. So when I won, people were really gassing my head up. The next day, I went into the women's event with a big head, played stupid/cocky, and didn't make it through half the field. I was so embarrassed because I had even given myself a nickname for the women's event :snoop:
