If you are a true hip hop fan you'd be happy for every bit of a GREAT song from anybody! It's muzaek and personally I would never try to compare any artist to other! To me that shyt is just waste of time! BUT ONE FACT STANDS OUT - NAS LOVES HIS FANS AND IS DISCIPLINED ENOUGH TO STAY CONSISTENT AND BRING THEM DA HEAT EVERY YEAR!!!! Some artist like Jay Elec just don't have that and don't care about it too much! He's content on being this abstract cat, who comes out of a black hole and blows shyt away with one song! No problemo bro....Whatever these cats gave us is staying for a long time, plus we can feel that they love the craft. So i am happy for the new Nas album and will be always lookin' forward to new Jay ECLEC shyt! 
Why cant this just be good in it's own right? Why u gotta shyt on "Life is Good" to say this is great? "Life is Good" is album of the year status so far...meanwhile Jay Elec will drop the day after "Detox".

Jay Elec is a poor man's Killah Priest
Killah Priest is a poor man and is now a demonic rapper. Im sorry but Jay electronica is the evolution of killah priest. If you have listened to priests music recently you notice that his flow does not exist and his bars are not what they once were. I believe a poster coined the phrase, struggle bars. Yes, thats what i here, but this is just my opinion. Jay Electronica is better and has eclipsed killah priest career in a short period of time. Heavy Mental is a great piece of work but by compiling all of Jay Electronicas best songs you get a better body of work. Im sorry but thats just the way it is and some things will never change, friend.
