Them tracks don't fit the album are probably the ones Nas previews to the executives in order to get a release date. Only think i can think of. Other than he just trying to get that one croosover track dat'll smash the charts. As great as Nasir is, he has never really had a huge single in all these years. And no i don't consider I Can or Hate Me Now (but a great track anyway) huge singles. If i ruled was his most popular croosover record and really the only old school track u hear on the radio from Nas. Don't give me that I Can shyt. (Even though i fukked with it) I think secretly Nas wants the adulation and accolades that Jigga and other cats get for making commercial records. But that ain't his lane and never will be. His lane is painting pictures with his words and making the listener feel like he's experiencing what Nas is reciting.

isn't this the case with every album nowadays? the classic rap album has long been over because of this. there's too much new music to consume so the shelf life of albums is shortened.

word. i literally played that album so much that i knew all the words in like 2 weeks, for real. on the way to work, on the way to the gym, in the gym, on the way home, picking up my girl from work, chillin in the crib, etc... probably played that sh!t 1000 times, ha.

The album has 2 or 3 decent tracks tops, Nas rhymes are on point but his production is wack juice and hook game is too poor.

Top Rapper, but every LP his fans claim he is back 'so his been back every LP since HHID' ... come on now, stop the nonsense.
