If China dropped the charges because they had a weak case or because the guys were actually innocent, I dont think the Trump involvement should be held against them.

If they did steal the stuff and are getting away with it because of what we always refer to as "white privilege", then :francis:
We'll probably never know what the case is. Supposedly they were trying to hit up 3 different luxury stores. Who knows. But without some heavyweights getting involved/calls being made who knows how long they could've been stuck over there. Not really locked up in jail but just stuck in the hotel til god knows when. It does look like they did something tho. America teams been playing games in China without incident for years until now so:hubie:

I want to ask some questions:

1. Why is the media (ESPN and cacs) calling for 10 to 20 games suspension to be given to these "kids" Where was the outcry when that swimmer dude from the Olympics went over to Brazil and lied about what he did??

2. Isn't it Innocent until proven guilty?

3. If the charges were dropped as reported, why are we talking about this still? and again why should these kids be suspended but when cacs do things, rape, steal, lie, nothing is mentioned, only the disappointment word is used and the story is just talked about but no reprimands or punishments are never talked about when cacs do the same thing and get caught.

Everyone hated that swimmer and I think that with the fake story, they were able to leave the country before anyone knew what really happened so they never really faced charges. A lot of people wanted his dumb ass sent back there.

At this point I think the UCLA guys should be happy they were able to get out of there without any issues.

Does this sound like everybody hating him? Sounds like a caping going on here.

1. They had ppl caping for that swimmer, Everyone didn't hate the swimmer. They wanted to soften his crime he did.

2. What ppl in the media wanted him to be sent back? Did anyone on ESPN/the news wanted him to be charge?

3. Are they innocent if the charges were dropped?

The overall opinion of Lochte was very negative. Anyone who was caping for him was an idiot. But the olympics tends to bring out a lot of blind patriotism so maybe some people in the media felt bad for him, I remember him being thought of as a joke though.

As far as innocence, I guess it depends on why the charges were dropped. Lack of evidence? Financial considerations? Who knows.
