Whether you accept it or not, when you're black and an alien in another country especially any Asian country, you will be stereotyped. People will stare, maybe take pictures with you or of you, they will ask you if you play sports if you're in shape, and they will definitely be watching yo black azz when you enter a store. You can have that Im not black, Im OJ attitude all you want but reality is we have a negative stereotype.

Im from the hood and I went to a HBCU. Ive been living outside that hood environment since graduating high school. I'll have honest conversation about race with anybody. The Asian cat that I speak of was a coworker and he grew to be my friend. To have a true racial conversation, you have to engage that dialogue with others outside your race. You can keep that attitude and miss out on meeting really cool people.

Every group has stereotypes. I can only speak on ours. In Asia countries, since there aren't many black people over there, our stereotype is what they see on tv. What they see is hip-hop, sports, and any major news related (mostly negative; like riots). Thats why, if you ever visit, Asians will think you are in sports or military because of stereotypes. Its not justifying. To know what racism is, you have to first understand racism and how its formed.

I know Asians that either moved over to the states. Dude said when he first visited Atl, it was culture shock to see that many black people functioning. I asked him why was that. He said because all they saw of black people in Asia was the negative stereotype.

My issue with Melo Ball is that he reinforces the stereotype. You have a black kid with money but still decides to steal from an expensive store in a foreign country. They already think we steal shyt, then they take their black azzes in there and steal some shyt. Dude has 0 sense of self-awareness. I would kick all tree of their azzes off the team.

Because I grew in the US, I cant fathom that because I didn't grow up in his style of environment. All they're fed is the negative stereotype of black people.
