i'm glad you said "people" because it's not just women. this "smartphone" generation of men as well as women are really pushing the boundaries of what's acceptable behavior in a commited realtionship and "teehee'ing

Breh, baby boomers didnt have work husbands/wives.They had mistresses. They had affairs.
This new term is just a way to make it seem cute, before things get ugly.
Because no matter how innocent it may sound or how intriguing it may be, a work gf/wife almost always ends very badly
