I never said that. I think looks are a major factor in whether a man has an opportunity to get with a girl. But I also know that an attractive women has tons of attractive men going after her, and that how you present yourself can make or break the deal.

It's like getting a job at Goldman Sachs, if you don't have the pedigree you won't get the job regardless of how you present yourself, but most dudes with the pedigree don't get the job either.

My concept of game is not tricks and things to make a woman magically like you. My concept of game is similar to that dude that bagged the Asian chick in the other thread. He seized the moment where another dude would have fell back after her initial resistance. Being bold and aggressive is a huge part of game. Leading instead of following. Showing confidence instead of weakness. Most chicks will not sleep with a man they consider weak or pussified, even if he is really good looking. So yes how you portray yourself is vital.

That question has been brought up not only by me, but by Socrates, its the oldest question in the book. "But are you really you?" Who is I and what is me, etc, etc. Without going into existentialism 102, I'm both the actor in a play and the mask said actor wears. I come at everything with something to gain, I have to, that's the mindset, its nice being aloof, but at some point you're going to want to be closing. Is there a playbook? nah, there used to be when I was young; start with kino escalation, follow with negging, etc...now it's turned into more of a freestyle. The only strat I use is the classic ABC - Always be closing. Even if you fail just know that you performed like a champion.

Ultimately this is about you, the self. I've met countless men at bars, work, etc that talk the good game, they have advice for everyone, but when an above average girl comes through, they freeze up, get nervous, or flat out remain silent till she leaves. From ugly guys to pretty boys, I've seen em all fail. They over think and doubt themselves. Getting laid is fun, but if I help a guy climb out of his shell, its much more rewarding....for both of us.

I agree with this, but I also believe that there are things you can say that can cause that attraction to go away and put you out of the running.

Say you meet a chick, she thinks you cute. She already got 2-3 good looking dudes that she's interested in. One she works with, one she knows through a friend. etc. If you portray yourself as a weak puss ass dude, that attraction is going to go the way of the trash can, and she's gonna focus on them other dudes. . At the same time, if you portray your self in a confident manner like you got some swagger about yourself, then you MIGHT be in there.

How you present yourself does matter. It's not going to make a girl that is not attracted to you want to sleep with you. But it will help you score with the girls that are already attracted to you. Women aren't men, once we are attracted to a chick, that attraction stays no matter how wack her personality is, even if the vibe between you and her is dead. A woman with quality options needs that vibe to continue and having lame conversation/coming off as weak is going to kill that vibe.

+1. Most men however our immediately defensive, when it comes to their pride and picking up women. Every guy wants to be casanova but no one wants to put in the work, everyone wants to be funny, but don't study comedy, etc. Anytime I see and or hear a guy dismiss the game or tactics similar to, they always suck with women and in general conversation. Fair enough, but predictable comedy is hard enough, most guys just won't master timing and delivery. Everyone wants to be funny, because making people laugh is next to godliness, however, so many fail. However, improve does indeed keep the mind sharp, and that's the goal here, to be on your toes, witty and responsive. I can't tell you the many times I facepalmed when a guy would literally take out his phone to tell several women at a table a very corny joke.
