Plus 4K discs are really hitting their stride right now with new and catalog releases.
You at least gotta get 1080 though breh
meh... my picture stills looks great. i dont buy blu rays. live TV streaming doesn't even go above 6 Mbit bitrate, so whether its displaying on 720 or 1080 it really doesnt make a difference on the picture quality. Netflix does some 4k, but its not like the picture isn't still crystal clear if you don't have a 4k tv. i need to be able to see how caked on the makeup is on actors faces.
im good
Nowadays 4k TVs are basically affordable now under 400 so it's easy to cop. But remember baxk when nikkas thought you wasn't shyt because you had 'only' 1080p, no Smart TV? Shyt was ridiculous
TVs are hardly a status symbol. Honestly they lose their value so fast they're borderline worthless less than a year after you buy them. From the moment you buy a TV on the only real value it has is to you as long as you find it useable. Also every 2 years there's usually a major hardware change that renders the older TVs even more worthless in value anyway. 2 years ago it was HDR before that it was HDMI 2.0. Next year it'll be HDMI 2.1 with dynamic HDR.Nowadays 4k TVs are basically affordable now under 400 so it's easy to cop. How can you say this when you just said you cop annuallyTVs are hardly a status symbol. Honestly they lose their value so fast they're borderline worthless less than a year after you buy them. I got a 2015 Samsung JS9000. One model below their most expensive TV that year and a 4K TV with HDR. Cost me $2200. The next year the KS8000 which is several models below their best TV was on sale for $1000 and has better HDR than my TV. My TV gets up to about 500nits of brightness. The KS8000 gets past 1000nits. The ultra HD premium HDR spec requires 1000nits so my more expensive TV doesn't get certified.
TVs are a very poor purchase.
This. There's hardly any reason for people to be hyping 4K the way they are.whats even more ridiculous is your local cable provider still isn't providing 1080p content as their standard.
