Almost shed a tear for Ronnie at the end. That was one of the coldest endings ever. He had Vic's back the whole time even tho he aint do as much dirt. But one thing i didn't get at the ending is if Vic confessed everything then why didn't they go after Aceveda too.. He was an accomplice to some of Vic's crimes too. Unless he really didnt confess everything.

It avoided a cliche ending and no one saw it coming. Vic was deconstructed where many fans who were rooting for him realized he was disgusting and many thought it impossible to make Shane sympathetic but they did that as well.

:manny: i can get with that

the shield countinously gives you crazy moments, always tying up storylines, it's intense, got great characters (dutch, kavanaugh, antwon mitchell, billings...), and you always feel rewarded for watching it, and never feel disrespect by the creators/writers.

in other words - the most satisfying show ever.
which is why it's not nearly as good as the wire. shawn ryan is a career tv writer. he knows how to tie up storylines and put a bowtie on it and say :smugdraper:

the shield is excellent. but david simon and ed burns were baltimore city crime reporters and cops/teachers, respectively. and they happen to be great writers as well. the wire is about how life happens, not about satisfying viewers, and definitely not a story about a rogue cop and how badass he can be. in that light, the shield is kinda child's play innit

My fav show ever entertainment for days and lucky enough to be on FX so we got a titty or two to boot.:lolbron:

So many ill characters too many for me to get into but Kavanaugh was by far the illest to me besides Lem. Anybody remember the ep where they kidnapped the bball player for the Nets and he was boning that blonde while Shane was :umad:

Still the only show I've seen with no dry dead season and the finale tied up everything perfectly easily the best tv show ever, will never see something like this again I think.

I had NO sympathy for Shane, even before his bytch ass cowardice move. :demonic:

Mara either. She had plenty of time to leave but she didn't.

If Shane really loved her and his seeds he would of forced them out. It was either 6 feet under or watching your back 24/7 until that day the cops would get them.

Those kids tho. :sadcam:

it's crazy how my opinions on characters changed during the show..

i spent all 7 seasons rooting for vic.. he was ruthless.. but he had good reasons, right? nope.. :to:

lem burning that cash had me like :beli: but when that grenade landed in his lap.. :ooh::sadbron:

i hated corrine and mara :pacspit: but when i think about it.. they were just looking out for their family in their own way. corrine was married to a scumbag and had to raise a teenage girl and 2 autistic kids pretty much on her own. i thought mara was gonna be some kinda money grubbing whore but she was down for whatever with shane. i still didn't enjoy their characters.. but :obama:

dutch was a crazy character. opinion on him changed every few episodes it felt like. being the station punk.. :flabbynsick: catching the killer.. :whoo: crying about it afterwards :snoop: strangling a cat  always had claudette's back and never afraid to call vic out on his bullshyt :myman: all that fukkery with him and the ex-captain/partner was some shyt too :pachaha:

fukk that racist mousy faced Shane. Never liked him at all and that shyt he pulled with Tavon when the dude simply tried to make peace made me hate him even more. You can tell he likes saying the n word behind closed doors in real life too....bytch ass.

I didn't feel sorry for him or his equally mousy faced wife Mara. The Stuart Little looking ho had an opportunity to at least save herself and her kids, but she let that cheese eating mouse ass husband bring them into ruin. So they made their beds, they laid in it.

Only two guys I felt sorry for were Ronnie and Lem.

Vic's Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall lookin' ass was no "anti hero" he was just a straight villain. But his whiny, panicky voice dumb ass wife was stupid to think he'd hurt his own kids smh.

Tina Hanlon though....:whew::noah::noah:

:camby: to Danni's hating ass. You can tell her dislike for Tina was out of pure jealousy.

Forest Whitaker's character had me fukking :dead: @ his outburts. :dead: @ when he trashed the place and :dead: @ the classic "it tastes like piss" speech. :dead:

David Aceveda should have given his evil, unsympathetic wife the :camby:
