This is a different discussion entirely. People look at Bill like he is a fukking idiot troll that isn't doing anything, but trying to rile up people, or at least I do anyway. The audience he panders to would eat up almost anything he says so I can't say that he holds much weight. It's no secret that there is absolutely still racist people out there that love the stuff he says though. fakkits will be fakkits

True. It is a different subject but im just comparin it by saying how jay puff etc gets false praise regardless of who they screw over. And I agree with u on the o Reilly thing. He is put on a platform to shyt on us. But he is praised by idiots. Its like they look up to a dude with his business mindset or watever. But constantly over look him shyttin on people that he think are underlinks to get to the top.

Only thing I dislike about hip hop CEOs is that they do the same dirt as the white execs.....BUT.....they prey on these naive rappers by gaining their trust, pretending that they're closer to them due to them being black too or by saying that they're apart of the "family/movement/team". Don't be telling nikkas yall boys for life if you dont mean that shyt :birdman:

In 2002: "Beans I aint tryna change you, just give you some game".........."Oskino and Sparks and Freeweezy (holla!), Mickey, Mallory, Chris and Neef, hey!, All I need is the love of my crew"

In 2012: "The number you have dialed (202) 8**-1247 is now disconnected, please hang up & try again"

You cant trust anyone just because of their race/creed/etc. if you do you're setting yourself up to be worked over and scammed. Sucks but it's true.

What you can do is work on trusting yourself with how you'd handle different situations, and trusting those who've proven to you they're trustworthy.

If Diddy was Jewish...oh boy, nikkas would be hating so much.
Puff is not hated now? :whoo:

Entertainment.
Jay-z was not hanging out with any of those dudes, not even Beans.
Back in 04-05 Beans said that he hadn't been with Jay once outside of business, that was why he chose to go with Dame. I do think they had a deeper relationship than Beans said though. As far as family shyt, if you never see a dude, never hung out with him all you do is business. And he's talking about love for my family and what not, they know the deal.

They were connected by a contract, they saw each other for money. Those dudes would not be fukking with Jay if he wasn't rich as fukk and paying them and Jay wasn't fukking with them if they weren't making him money or good at rapping, as simple as that. From following Roc-a-fella from that whole era I would say Jays only friends were Bleek, Young Chris, Freeway, Kanye, Dame, Biggs and Beans. As far as Dame and Biggs go, he didn't really hang out with them like that he was mostly with the cats he's with today Juan Perez, B-High, Jay Brown, Lenny S, Ty-Ty and on.

I think all of them get criticized for being Snakes. Just go to any Puff Daddy, Jay-z or Birdman video on youtube and look at the comments and it will probably be dudes talking about them being snakes and bla bla. The difference is that while they have haters, they have fans as well. Lyor Cohen doesn't really have fans, he's not a celebrity type of person. Just like Mike Kyser and them don't have fans. There is really nothing they do that's funny, cool, great to watch, hear and on. So they get the same hate (often less cause they are less known) but not the same love cause they are not trying to catch fans.

I give the same props to the business men and call of them snakes, cause that's their business. The worst thing are the dudes from the streets calling these cats snakes, street cats are the shadiest dudes out and then they come in the rap game and start crying cause some label doesn't wanna release them.

Spot on, On top of this alot of the people named in the op are lauded for their business acumen outside of rap, except for birdman because he doesnt really have any ventures known to the public outside of music. But when I applaud them for their business savvy it damn sure aint because of their deals for their record label its cause Jay (at the time) had 40/40, Roc-awear, had some ownership in the Nets, Jayz Blue GMC, armadale; Diddy has Sean John, ciroc,; Dre had a Dr.Pepper commercial, Dre Beats.

I'm saying that there's definitely a discrepancy in how they're criticized for conducting business despite essentially doing the same thing too...and it's totally the opposite of what you're suggesting...this forum has a search function, and I'm asking you to make your case with proof and that I will respond with exponentially more examples to the contrary...black ceos get derided literally on a day to day basis for conducting mundane everyday music business practices...they're non-black counterparts not anywhere nearly as much...the praise that the black execs do get is more because of their rags-to-riches ascents from abject poverty to multimillion dollar empires, not so much the commonplace business as usual tactics they used along the way

Not to sound racists or anything but color do matter. Look at bill o Reilly or fox news. They constantly shyt on the black culture. But remain popular and praised just because of their status and they have camera time. And people would listen regardless while everything we do is put under a microscope. And we're constantly judged for the littlest thing. Im just sayin in the music industry black or white majority are cut throats. And out for themselves. I cant jump on the band wagon and be like. "yeah u get shyttin on :manny: well thats how it goes."

Yea, outside of the realm of hip-hop these guys are not taken seriously or considered real business men despite having a collective net-worth of nearly 1.5 billion dollars.
