Song is legendary..

This was back when soundtracks actually HELPED a film's box office. Are You That Somebody had every kid (including me) trying to go see Dr Doolittle

This and the Rush Hour and Save The Last Dance soundtracks were GOAT!! Used to have the school dances n parties poppin

I have no clue why none of her bangers are on itunes. I found one in a million on some obscure wedding compilation soundtrack

Very unorthodox and uniquely structured hook.

One of the best hooks I've ever heard:wow:

R.I.P Static Major:mjcry:

Aaliyah Swag in the video was on legendary status.
After Mike Jackson, Aaliyah probably has the most entertaining, creative, and foward thinking musical video concepts.

Classic middle school track....Was never my favorite from her, but an one of those songs that played everywhere, pure late 90's nostalgia....The times when her and Timbaland, plus contemporary R&B, like Jagged Edge, Joe, 112, Dru Hill ran the radio, tv, and charts....I never thought I'd miss those years like I do now, not that the music went away, I listen to all my 90's shyt everyday, wake up blaring some Next or Ginuwine, 'Same Ol G', it's just the feeling of not appreciating your youth until it's gone....These songs are like instant nostalgia, that catches memories I had forgotten, I still remember that hook, it just sounds like the hallways of my middle school, wearing Tommy Hilfiger, Guess watch, sounds like 8th grade trips and walking to school, or getting that ride to school from my friend's older sister, or listening to a 90's style stereo playing basketball in front of my homies garage.

:wow:
