I thought the Midnight books were pretty good. Yea she kind of overdid it though with his dislike for black women

I read it in middle school and even then i thought it was an okay read but stupidly unrealistic.

Coldest Winter Ever was GOAT. I hated every character in that book but the storytelling was off the chain.
Midnight I and II were
There was nothing human about Midnight. That nikka had no flaws, nothing endearing about him. This nikka is a 16 year old perfect man getting married to a bytch who can't even speak English, yeah right.

I didn't know Midnight had a 2nd book. I only read like 3/4 of the 1st one. But that was the same thing I was saying. Dude is just so PERFECT. Does everything right. ALL the hoodrats want him and he marries a chick he doesn't understand.

usually not into this specific genre, but i was looking for something to read, and somebody convinced me i'd enjoy this.
they were correct, book was dope to me.
winter was one of the dumbest main characters i've ever come across. anytime someone narrates a story, you get a serious look at who they really are, and how they thing about and process situations. you could see that throughout the entire book, winter literally never got any smarter. that was crazy to me.
she thought she was getting over on someone at every turn, and each and every time that person was actually outsmarting her. i knew shyt wasnt going to end well for her, but didnt see the 15 year jail bid coming. i actually thought she was just end up dead.
definitely enjoyed that though.
i saw some posters saying the story was far-fetched, i really dont think so. especially not the last part. mad chics doing bids cause they got caught with guns/drugs they were holding/transporting.
