But how many people really like computers, toliets, transmissions, and electrical wires. There are a lot of people who likes other things, and those fields require degrees. You competing against people who have degrees, you already entering a fight outmatched. I'm hearing some entry-level jobs are requiring masters now.

Really most only require degrees because the company says so. Like outside of engineering and medicine many dont absolutely need a degree.

For example my sister went to school for marketing, you know what she is....the senior finance manager at some bank. She got that job because years ago they cut the marketing department and since she worked there they let her train to enter the finance department. She worked her way up from there and now she in charge of people who acutally have a masters in accounting and finance.

Like someone else said, the degree is just the ticket you need to get on the train. Once you are on there is no telling what you will end up doing.

Of course. Why you think kids go to Harvard just to get a Liberal Arts degree?

Because getting in the Harvard Buisness School or Engineering school is damn near impossible. Still, with that Harvard degree they can work practically anywhere they want that doesn't require technical or medical knowledge.

You saw how quick Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard. Who really goes to college to pursue education, its all about improving your skills and opportunity. Its all the other fools that don't realize this truth and limit themselves to a one career track.

With evidence suggesting many students continue to flock in significant numbers to jobs in the financial sector from ivy league schools like Princeton, Harvard, and Yale, a lot of people are wondering who to blame.

The Washington Monthly - Ten Miles Square - Harvard’s Liberal-Arts Failure Is Wall Street’s Gain

Don't forget politics and consultant work available to all Ivy League School grads.

College for me was a waste of fukking time. I learned everything in my career on my own. Honestly if I had skipped and focused on my certifications during those years I'd be further along in my career than I am right now.

This is exactly how im feeling now. Its like. fukk this shyt. If I went back 4 years ago and solely focused on doing what I loved to do. I would be in a better position than I am now :bryan:
