I see what you are getting at but Juels is the only person in the movie who not only lives without any major harm coming to him, he also is the ONLY main person in the story to live with his dignity intact, think clearly through the entire film and never once come under any sort of physical duress.

Juels is the real hero of the film, he isn't a deus ex machina like the wolf, but he plays the part of the seer, being able to clearly assess every situation he's put into and not only come away with minimal incident (of his doing) but also does his best to make others think clearly. (Warning Vincent of Mia, Saying they should have shotguns, having the spot to go to to clean the car, talking dude down in the stick up ect.)

Juels comes through in EVERY story arc he is in.
This!!

Fact is, despite being a killer..He was the only voice of reason and only one with emotion and saw the error of his ways, and was about doing something more meaningful with his life.

He enjoyed this Hawaiian hamburger....lol, but yeah Tarantino saying n-word irritated me. It sucks that Marvin died... And Marcellus Wallace.... damn :to:
However the man who killed Marvin died anyway by the dude who Marcellus made amends with. Karma.

The whole "dead n1gger storage" thing has always bothered me. There was absolutely no need for it in the movie. It was so out of place that it almost seemed gratuitous. Still one of my fave movies.

people think tarantino likes to push the envelope, but i think he may be racist, or insecure, or have some type of feelings about black people/black men. one motherfukker actually said he cant be racist, he has a black stepfather. and im like, the fukk does that mean? his stepfather could've beat his ass for all we know

but i do agree still that he was showing how fukked up white people are at the same time. he's complex

The thing that got me even at a young age was how forced the "dead nikka storage" line was. Like, why was that line included? It really made no sense at all

tarantino's biggest influence is blaxploitation movies

whenever tarantino inserts himself into his movies, it's always as an a$$hole piece of shyt, his character thinks he has free reign to say the n-word because his wife is black, it's him being self-aware and commenting on his own self-image (he thinks it's okay to make movies where characters drop the n-word because he grew up on blaxploitation)

plus jules is the one character in the movie who sees how fukked up how everything is and decides to change, to roam the land like caine in Kung Fu
