It's facts that EMB called Jay and wanted HMB to change his name. If Jays stans was as weird as his haters they would say that Jay hit EMB with a sniper for calling him. E money was trying to get into the rap game for a second. What's even lesser known was he was a producer too. That's how him and Prodigy became tight. EMB did a beat for the soundtrack to one their hood movies I believe. Ironic that beat is what started the events that got him killed:

As hood lore goes: supreme was into the mark car racket and e went to him with $1000 to put down on a stolen navigator. soon after he did a beat for one of Mobb deeps hood movies and got paid $2500 for it. His thinking is that he could take the $1000 he gave to preme and combine it with the $2500 and get a legit navi. He went to preme and preme was like no refunds. EMB got mad over it to the point that one day he was driving down Jamaica Ave and saw Preme and Black Just coming out the coliseum block and just started blasting at them broad day. Preme wasn't hit but black just got hit and bled out before they got to the hospital. That was kinda Preme fault as Preme just been home and wasn't suppose to be associated with his old crew so they dropped Preme off before they headed to the hospital. With Just gone, EMB days were numbered. Prodigy was warned to stay away from him as they were gunning for him. So the death photos. As you can see EMB was sitting in his navi having a smoke break while at a party. he didn't wanna smoke in front of kids. The gunmen ran up on him and he saw them and he was reaching for his gun but it was too late...

That phone convo is known and nowhere during it did Jay sound "shook". He basically just brushed dude off on some shyt.
