Menace II Society didn't even have a plot nicca. We were infatuated with that b.s., on the strength of Boyz In the Hood, but now it's senseless violence. Furious Styles was/is Iconic

Thank you. Menace gets by because it features one of the coldest killas ever on screen, but overall the movie isn't all that. It feels like a Boyz remix.

IMO most hood gangsta flicks are cheesy so I wouldn't use that to single out one. Perhaps the only one that isn't particularly cheesy is King of New York, but it's so 90s and surreal grimey that I guess some might call it cheesy.
