And before you say it was specific for its time period your wrong. I disagree. Very entertaining movie regardless of the over the top moments/plot/dialogue etc. Its cool ass flick and if anything its somewhat underrated IMO. Far from trash. Foh.

Yeah it was over the top but that was 90 s action movies. Also look at the director. All of Melvin van pebbeles movies are like that.

Agreed. I won't say its not a classic or a good movie, but I always felt like it lacked something. The movie is really all over the place, and not enough time is really spent on Cain's transformation from decent kid with at least some sort of sense to a thugged out banger, robbing people and shyt. Felt like one minute he was Trey from Boyz and the next he's O-Dog
