Every shot Biggie sent though was a response to the 1,000's of shots Pac sent. If anything Biggie was defending himself. I don't understand why dudes are mad at Biggie for sublminals while at the same time excusing Pac's countless disses and mentions in interviews of Biggie. If anything Biggie only lyrically "Tap" Pac. I think if Biggie really went in it would of been worst. "Long Kiss" is proof Biggie could really went there if he wanted to. It was clear Big only wanted to address it and keep it moving.
1000's?

Pac made Hit Em Up... then died. No biggie disses on Makaveli.

I will say this. The last 3 songs of the album was Biggie putting a Stamp on his feeling on the Pac Beef. "My Downfall" wasn't really all about Pac but more about his Haters but listening to Puff's rant and a few bars you can tell the Pac situation fueled that song. "Long Kiss" was about Pac period. "Your nobody" wasn't really about Pac but the theme of the song and ideas were eluding to Pac.

My Downfall
Long Kiss Goodnight
Your Nobody Till Somebody Kills You

Damn, this can be argued as the ILLEST ENDING TO RAP ALBUM EVER.

"Ready To Die" was being recorded BEFORE "Me Against the World". Pac only wanted to take credit for "Ready To Die" cause of the beef. Before the shooting he was chilling with Big at album release parties celebrating the sh!t. Tupac did not own the concept of "Death" It's been spoken about in art since the dawn of time. "Ready To Die" is a concept storytelling album that actually tells a story beginning, middle, end.

"Me Against the World" though it's a Classic wasn't the same type of album. Yes I know about the lost songs on "R U Still Down" but even then there aren't enough concepts to prove what Pac said period. Biggie and Pac styles are night and day. There is no evidence outside of Pac's mouth that Biggie copied anything. Also Biggie didn't bit no damn Pac on "My Downfall". It's a sample from Run DMC and DMC actually came back in and re-did the vocals instead of them scratching it in:

Again his words when he was furious at Biggie. Let's talk about Pac before shooting and what he thought about "Ready To Die"? Oh yeah that's right he was poppin champagne at album release parties. He wasn't on that "Biggie copied my album" until after the fact. You guys do realize Biggie was very close to being on "Thug Life" album.

na he dissed him while he was alive couple times

and long kiss goodnight was made b4 pac died(where big mentioned names), And after pac died big switched the lyrics to mk it sublime

nuthn cowardly bout that, he actually showed a lil decency to tk names off

big hated pac so of course he gn still release it after he died

Youre mad, how did pac influence Biggie?? I keep hearing pac stans say this but it isnt true.

pac is the one that came looking for Biggie, hes the one who was pushing for them to be friends, hes the one that was all over an unsigned rappers dikk that didnt know that this guy wanted from him, hes the one that was trying to get Big and his crew roles in Above the Rim..Biggie's music from his demos to Party and Bullshyt to RTD was pretty much the same hardcore Ny talk. Pac didnt influence, flow, lyrics or shyt. Big by all accounts didnt seem bothered or remotely interested in Pac, from the time they met to when Pac was mad Big had denied him the attention he wanted.
Everybody at the time was on Bigs dikk, including Pac. Infact Pac is the first true Stan.
I dont think Big cared for Pac cause he just didnt care for him as a rapper. Big was aware of his own strengths as an MC, and saw Pac as a successful but weaker Mc than himself. If youre Biggie with all that talent, you might respect the likes of Jay, Nas and Camron. He never respected Pacs skills and I think this is what tipped Pacs mental. Big never cared for dude and people blow up their friendship when it was non existant.

I agree with all of your post but the last part. I don't agree that "Biggie never cared about Pac" or there friendship was "Non-Existent". If that was true than the beef would of never popped off like it did. Pac had a geniue love for Big, a Brotherly love which is why he was so emotional once the beef poppped off. If they weren't really friends, it's doubtful Pac would of went as hard as he did. Also Pac knew Biggie was nice. Notice all the time Pac was dissing Big, it never talked about his skills as a rapper. Cause even Pac realized Biggie was special on the mic. Biggie had a lot of love and admiration for Pac and his success at the time. But your overall point is right about Pac being the one to notice Biggie and how talented his was. That speaks more to Biggie skills that Pac would take an underground New York rapper and put him under his wing at shows and sh!t.
